Exhibition time

As I have had my hands full, my obligations towards this site have suffered, greatly. This I am making up for, from now on.
Today was a day in the hotshop helping out a collegue. I have been blowing into her ceramic bowls and we were extremely sufficient. It is all part of our preparations for the upcoming exhibition at Kroma, Ronneby, Sweden. We are 20 craftsmen from the island of Bornholm. I will strongly recommend you to take a look at http://www.acab.dk/ (Arts and Crafts Association of Bornholm). Here you will find Glass, Ceramics, Wood, Textiles and a lot more.

Bornholm is an Island dominated by Craft and for more than a century creative artists have moved over here.
We stand solid on the ground, in the mighty wind as we are protected by the cliffs i the West. Rain falls on our tired heads on its way to the sea.

Voices, vibrant and clear resconance within these walls and I do not know how to make this space justice. Can my work be integrated to this vasst amount of air without erasing the perception of ancient voices whispering and caressing these white covered walls? I do belive so. I am breathless and drained. Slowly, so slowly I am filling up, and I aspire to address the legacy of the honarable and humble utters and traces of time dwelling whithin these halls. For now, I rest...

...Remembrances of places lost cast their shadows on us. An inner well, filled with memories, abundance of riches, little secrets waiting to be rediscovered and brought up to the surface. Paper thin layers of distinct patterns are made from powdered and fused enamels, to represent fragments of different recollections and dreams. These are attached hot and placed between layers of transparent glass, creating translucent glass worlds. Here they become visual traces of yesterdays past, trapped in time, for all eternity...
